The Bridge connecting mind, an inseparable bond.... More than a hundred years ago, a group of villagers escaped from Roi Et province. There was “Luang Pu Joi”, a monk who brought the villagers to this place, when they met suitable area, so they set up a village and named it “Ban Kae Dam”. This community lived happily ever after, the household are expanded so much that it had to be moved. The crossing house is to set up a new house which is still on the opposite bank of the canal and it was called "Ban Hua Khua". The original canal was only 20 meters wide, so the villagers came to see each other easily by using the I-Pong boat made from Khon Tan and building a small bridge to walk across. Until the day when the state has dug a swamp for irrigation, this made the canal widen until it was a large swamp about half a kilometer wide, as this result, it make difficult for the villagers to travel. but the sea or to fight the nostalgia to come to the relatives of the two villagers on the shore. So, the people gathered wood scraps from the farm and old fence posts combined with the force of people who brought people to both sides, built a 500 meters long wooden bridge that winds along the Bua Luang San Jai field to firmly hold the hearts of relatives of both villages as before. “The Kae Dum Wooden Bridge” has been selected as the third most beautiful wooden bridge in Thailand, may be with the classic clutter like a local craftsman, this is definitely the charm of this place. The tourists, photographers, and travelers are always all frequented and visited, people are not crowded, its suitable for conveying emotions abandoning the suffering from everywhere that we have been getting from nowhere, watch the children jumping off the bridge for fun into the water, saw a crowd of buffaloes in the swamp grazing before entering the pen, saw the villagers fishing in Nong Kae Dam and appreciated the life in the countryside beyond description for yourself. Currently, Kae Dam district is developing local tourism, there are frequent activities, at the beginning of the year, and there was a Valentine's Day event, a group marriage registration on Kae Dam wooden bridge. At the end of the year, there will be a Loy Krathong event, releasing lanterns to watch fireworks in the middle of this bridge. In the evenings on Saturdays and Sundays, there is a retro market at the head of the bridge on both sides. How to get there, take the route out of Mueang district, use the City Hall intersection, heading towards to Wapi Pathum district, you will find a junction, turn left to Kae Dam district, drive along the road until Kae Dum district but if you going to watch the sunset, go to the side of Ban Hua Khua, by turning left before entering the city, keep driving until you find the entrance to Ban Hua Khua and enter the village, find the school and turn right for about 1 km. You will find the way up the hill at the head of the bridge.
